Winter Storm Alert: Heavy Snow, Difficult Driving, and Flooding Expected

A winter storm warning is in effect for many mountain ranges in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, including the Sandia and Manzano Mountains near Albuquerque. The National Weather Service advises that Clines Corners and Santa Fe may also need a warning. Two to four inches of snow are possible in Santa Fe, while areas in northeastern New Mexico could see more than 10 inches of snow. Some mountain peaks may receive up to two feet of snow by early Friday morning, making travel on Interstate 25 and other roads difficult.
