TL;DR
NV Energy reports numerous power outages across Northern Nevada and the Sierra, with over 10,500 customers affected in Washoe County. Smaller outages are also reported in Carson City and Douglas County. The causes of the outages are under investigation, but heavy snow and high winds from a large winter storm moving through the area are likely contributing factors.
