Winter Weather Advisory Brings Ice, Snow, and Hazardous Road Conditions to Northeastern States

Vermont is bracing for its first wintry storm of the season, with a winter weather advisory in effect for Wednesday night through Thursday morning. While snow accumulations are expected to be light, slippery conditions may affect the Thursday morning commute. Freezing rain and sleet are possible, particularly in the Adirondacks and southern Vermont, with the biggest concern being ice accretion on roads. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, especially on elevated surfaces, before 10 a.m. Low temperatures overnight will range from the upper teens to upper 20s in some areas, with the Champlain Valley experiencing low 30s and wind chills in the 20s.
