The seven-letter inscription in Ancient South Arabian script in Sabaean refers to labdanum, an aromatic resin used to make incense. The jar is believed to be the oldest known Ancient South Arabian script found in Israel and is considered a "clear connection" to the biblical kingdom of Solomon and the nearby kingdom of Sheba. The discovery sheds light on the extensive trade and cultural ties that existed between the two kingdoms.
