Dr. Wayne Wooten, Professor Emeritus of Astronomy, highlighted the rarity of the event and the cosmic mysteries it represents, while UWF physics students emphasized the inspiration such events provide for their career pursuits. The next total solar eclipse visible in Florida is predicted for August 12, 2045.
