"2024 Solar Eclipse: Where and When to Watch in Texas and SoCal"

The Dynamic Eclipse Broadcast Initiative, armed with a $314,000 NASA grant, aims to broadcast the entire April 8 total solar eclipse from a 115-mile path of totality in North America using a nationwide citizen science team and simpler, less expensive equipment. The project, a spin-off of the successful Citizen CATE experiment from the 2017 eclipse, plans to capture a 60-minute continuous movie of the solar corona using smaller cameras and telescopes with a wider field of view, involving 300 people in teams located in or near the path of totality. The broadcasts will also be featured in a major SolarSTEAM broadcast on YouTube and at the Southern Illinois Crossroads Eclipse Festival.
