"Capturing the Spectacular Farewell of a Brilliant Green Comet"

Astrophotographer Maarten Butter captured a stunning image of Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) as it made its closest approach to Earth earlier this year. Butter used a Sky-Watcher Evostar 72ED DS-Pro telescope and chose to align with the comet to highlight its unique movement, allowing the stars to create trailing patterns. The photo showcases the different colors of the stars and serves as a farewell to the comet, which is unlikely to return to our Solar System for millions of years.
