"Discovery of Starless Primordial Dark Matter Galaxy"

Astronomers have discovered a galaxy, J0613+52, largely composed of dark matter and with no apparent stars, likely due to its incredibly gas-rich but diffuse nature. This type of galaxy, known as a Low Surface Brightness Galaxy, is thought to be undisturbed and underdeveloped, evolving very gradually due to its low gravity and isolation from neighboring galaxies. J0613+52's characteristics provide insight into the distribution of dark matter in the Universe, and further observations using high-sensitivity instruments are needed to understand its nature.
