"Unprecedented Night: 7 Alpha Capricornids Fireballs Illuminate the Sky"

The Alpha Capricornid meteor shower, known for producing bright fireballs, put on a spectacular show on the night of July 25-26, 2023. Robert Lunsford of the American Meteor Society captured seven fireballs in one night using a meteor camera system. These fireballs, which are brighter than Venus, were earlier than expected and occurred outside of the peak time for the meteor shower. Despite the upcoming full moon, viewers can still observe these fireballs, as they are visible even in intense moonlight.
