"Eclipse Oddities: NASA Encourages Documentation and Soundscapes"

NASA is funding the Eclipse Soundscapes Project to document the sights and sounds of the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, encouraging over 30 million North American witnesses to join in recording sounds, making observations, and assisting in data analysis to better understand the impact of the eclipse on animal behavior and ecosystems. The project aims to build upon a historical study conducted after a 1932 eclipse and will utilize modern tools to document findings. Additionally, strange weather phenomena, such as wind pattern changes and temperature drops, have been observed during eclipses in the past.
