"Promising Study Shows Popular Supplement Eases Long COVID Symptoms"

A new clinical trial suggests that dietary creatine supplementation may help alleviate symptoms of post-COVID-19 fatigue syndrome, commonly known as long COVID. The trial involved 12 participants who took either a placebo or 4 grams of creatine monohydrate per day for 6 months. The study found that creatine intake led to increased creatine levels in leg muscles and the brain, as well as a significant reduction in general fatigue after 3 months. Additionally, it improved symptoms such as loss of taste, breathing difficulties, body aches, headaches, and difficulties concentrating after 6 months. Further research is needed to confirm these findings in different post-COVID-19 patient groups.
