Revolutionary Alzheimer's Detection and Treatment by BYU Scientists.

Scientists at Brigham Young University have developed a biotechnology that can detect Alzheimer's disease 10-15 years before current standard tests. Once the disease is detected, treatments can slow its progression to the point where a person could live symptom-free for the rest of their life. The technology also has the potential to diagnose other degenerative diseases like Parkinson's, ALS, MS, and Huntington’s. The team is now working on getting their technology into the world and hopes to make it part of an annual screening for people of the right age range.
