"Volunteer Citizen-Scientists Boost Sea Horse Research"

Citizen-scientists have significantly contributed to sea horse research through the iSeahorse project, providing valuable data on sea horse sightings and behavior. Their contributions have helped update knowledge about the geographic distribution of sea horse species and understand their breeding patterns. The project has amassed about 11,000 observations from over 1,900 contributors, validating 7,794 of them from 96 countries and 35 sea horse species. These findings highlight the importance of community science efforts in raising awareness and achieving conservation goals for sea horses.
