UAE's historic mission to explore the Asteroid Belt with local startups and private companies.

The UAE has announced plans to launch a spaceship named MBR to explore the solar system's main asteroid belt, with a goal of landing on a rare asteroid named Justitia in 2034, which contains organic compounds. The mission is expected to launch by 2028 and will take seven years to explore six asteroids, extending 10 times past the Mars mission with a total estimated travel distance of 5 billion kilometers. The spacecraft is designed to travel at 33,000 kilometers per hour and will be the first mission of its kind to explore asteroids in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter and to land on an asteroid.
