Unraveling the Mystery of Alaska's Glowing Spiral in the Northern Lights

Aurora watchers in Alaska captured images of a massive "mysterious spiral" hovering in the sky, which turned out to be fuel released from a SpaceX rocket launched from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. The fuel turned into ice and reflected sunlight, creating a swirly cloud visible from the ground. The incident was witnessed by Don Hampton of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute, who said he has seen it happen about three times before.
