"Odysseus Lunar Mission: Historic Images Beamed from Moon's South Pole"

The US moon lander Odysseus, launched by Intuitive Machines atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, has transmitted its first images from space after separating from the rocket's second stage. Carrying experiments and technology demonstrations from NASA as well as private payloads, Odysseus aims to collect data for NASA's Artemis program. While another moon lander, Peregrine, encountered a fuel leak and was destroyed, Odysseus is in good condition and approaching its scheduled touchdown on the moon on February 22.
