Eirsat-1: Ireland's Historic Leap into Space

Ireland's first satellite, Eirsat-1, has been successfully launched into low-Earth orbit, marking a significant milestone for the country's space industry. Developed by students at University College Dublin, the tiny satellite carries three scientific payloads that will investigate gamma rays, test thermal surface treatments, and explore wave-based control algorithms. Eirsat-1 is expected to collect valuable data and operate for at least two and a half years, providing hands-on experience for future space scientists and engineers.
