India's Vikram lander and Pragyaan rover, which successfully landed on the lunar surface last month, have yet to re-establish communication with mission control, and hopes of them waking up are diminishing. The extreme conditions of the lunar surface, particularly the absence of sunlight, may have affected their ability to function. Efforts to establish contact will continue until September 30, but even if the lander never wakes up again, India's Chandrayaan-3 mission is still considered a groundbreaking success.
