Japan's SLIM spacecraft successfully landed on the moon on January 19, 2024, making Japan the fifth nation to achieve a soft lunar touchdown. A photo taken by the tiny rover LEV-2 shows SLIM resting on the lunar surface, although it landed on its head, hindering its solar panels from generating electricity.
