Poland Joins Axiom Space Mission with Astronaut Agreement

Poland has signed an agreement with Axiom Space, in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), to fly a Polish astronaut on a future mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The identity of the astronaut and the mission date have not been disclosed. This agreement marks Poland as the second ESA member state to send an astronaut on a private mission to the ISS, following Sweden's recent agreement with Axiom Space. The growing interest in human spaceflight in Europe may lead to the development of a more ambitious European human spaceflight program.
