China's Quantum Satellite Technology Soars to Unprecedented Security Levels

China is planning to launch new quantum communications satellites that will be placed in higher orbits, allowing for a greater view of Earth and longer visibility to ground stations. These satellites will use quantum key distribution (QKD) technology to generate secret keys for encrypting and decrypting data. The new missions will face challenges in accurately transmitting quantum keys over much greater distances, requiring micro-vibration suppression technology. China's advancements in space quantum technology could also have breakthroughs in deep space exploration and space gravitational wave detection. Europe is also working on launching a Quantum Key Distribution Satellite (QKDSat) for ultrasecure communications.
