Gears of War: E-Day is the upcoming canonical prequel launching October 6 on Xbox Series X/S and PC (early access October 1 with Premium Edition). It features a 14-hour linear campaign with some open moments, faster movement options, and classic cover mechanics; supports 2-player split-screen co-op and up to four players online, plus a new Horde Siege PvE mode for 12 players.
