Samsung and Google Push for Secure Messaging with RCS Adoption

Samsung has issued a warning to iPhone and Android users about the lack of end-to-end encryption in the newly adopted RCS messaging protocol, which Apple has integrated without the security layer present in Google Messages. This leaves messages vulnerable to interception, especially amid concerns about Chinese hackers accessing telecommunications networks. Users are advised to use fully encrypted messaging apps like WhatsApp for secure communication. While Google and Samsung promote RCS for cross-platform messaging, the absence of encryption remains a significant security risk.
