Celestial Alignments: Full Moons and Planetary Conjunctions

On October 28, the full moon of October will be visible in the night sky, with Jupiter located about 4.5 degrees to the lower left of the moon. The moon will gradually move closer to Jupiter throughout the night, reaching their highest point in the southern sky around 1 a.m. local daylight time on October 29. Jupiter is currently at its brightest and closest to Earth, making it an excellent sight for skywatchers. With a telescope, observers can also see three of Jupiter's moons: Io, Callisto, and Europa.
