Spectacular Fireball Lights Up Colorado and Wyoming Skies

A bright meteor illuminated the night sky in Colorado, with video footage capturing the event. The fireball appeared green-ish or yellow to some observers, while others reported a red glow. The American Meteor Society received over 90 reports of the event, which was also seen in Nebraska, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Fireballs are particularly bright meteors that can be seen over a wide area, and they are caused by fragments of asteroids or comets entering Earth's atmosphere at high velocity.
