Hyundai Metaplant Expands: Gov. Kemp Announces 400 Jobs and $2 Billion Investment

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced that Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solutions will invest an additional $2 billion in their battery cell manufacturing joint venture at the Metaplant in Bryan County, creating 400 more jobs. This brings the total investment to about $7.59 billion and is expected to create 8,500 new jobs over the next eight years. Once fully operational, the facility will support the production of 300,000 electric vehicle units annually, further solidifying Georgia's position as the e-mobility capital of the nation.
