Chandrayaan-3 Successfully Enters Moon's Orbit in Historic India Mission
TL;DR
India's space mission Chandrayaan-3 has successfully entered the Moon's orbit, marking the country's second attempt at an uncrewed lunar landing. The mission aims to touch down at the Moon's south pole between August 23 and 24, collecting images from this little-explored region. With a cost of $74.6 million, India's relatively low-budget space program has been steadily growing since its first lunar orbit in 2008 and its successful Mars satellite launch in 2014.
