NASA's Artemis 2 astronauts will ride in sleek electric cars provided by Canoo Technologies Inc. to the launch pad before embarking on their mission to the moon. The all-electric vehicles, unveiled at the Formula 1 Grand Prix of the United States, will transport the astronauts from the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building to Launch Pad 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Canoo is supplying a fleet of three vehicles with seating for eight and zero-emissions technology. This marks a departure from previous generations of vehicles used for astronaut transportation, such as modified trailers and motorhomes.
