Allies and Top Food Companies Invest in Ukraine's Farms.

Foreign countries and large agriculture companies are donating or lending hundreds of millions of dollars to Ukrainian farmers to help rebuild the country's farming industry, which has been hit hard by Russia's invasion. The war has destroyed equipment, expropriated land, and choked off export routes, making financing and basic imports like fertilizer hard to come by. Agriculture was responsible for 10% of Ukraine's GDP and 40% of its exports before the war.
