Gazans Forced to Flee Israeli Bombardment, Seek Safety Up North

Displaced Palestinians who had fled to southern Gaza in response to Israel's warning to evacuate for their own safety are now heading back north after deadly strikes in the south. The strikes, which have killed over 7,000 people according to the Hamas-run health ministry, initially targeted Gaza City but have since expanded to the south. The influx of displaced families has overwhelmed the already densely populated city of Khan Yunis, leaving many struggling to find shelter. Some of those returning north have been unable to reach their homes due to the intensity of the bombing and are now seeking refuge in the grounds of Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City. The UN humanitarian coordinator has warned that "nowhere is safe in Gaza" due to the ongoing bombing.
