Sudden Withdrawals of Wagner Fighters and Kadyrov's Units in Russia and Ukraine

Wagner Group mercenaries have withdrawn from the Lipetsk region in southern Russia after Chechen fighters deployed to stop them left the city of Rostov-on-Don. The head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has reached a deal with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, ending his armed rebellion against the Russian Defense Department over disagreements regarding the war in Ukraine. Prigozhin will now live in exile in Belarus under terms of the deal. The Wagner Group is likely to cease operating as it did, and the next steps for Prigozhin remain unclear.
