Suspected Israeli Airstrikes Target Damascus, Says Syrian State Media.

Syrian state media reports that airstrikes attributed to Israel targeted Damascus, the first such strikes in a month. Syrian air defenses responded and shot down some of the missiles, causing only material damage. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claims that the missiles targeted sites used by Hezbollah, and that ambulances transported people wounded in the strikes. Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes on targets in government-controlled parts of neighboring Syria in recent years, but rarely acknowledges them.
