Violent Clash at Lebanon-Israel Border Leaves Multiple Casualties

Two mortars were fired at northern Israel from Lebanon, and two gunmen who infiltrated into Israeli territory were killed in clashes with Israeli troops. Six Israelis were injured, including one critically and one seriously. Hezbollah confirmed three of its members were killed in Israeli retaliatory strikes on southern Lebanon, and the group threatened revenge. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the armed infiltration, stating it was part of the ongoing war between Israel and terror groups in Gaza. The Israeli military ordered residents in towns near the Lebanon border to remain in bomb shelters.
