Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that deterrence in the Middle East is working, as the war between Israel and Hamas has not spilled over into neighboring countries. However, Iranian-backed groups in Syria and Iraq continue to attack U.S. troops, resulting in injuries. Singh also addressed the use of hospitals by Hamas in Gaza, stating that they are being used to conceal and support military operations.
