Kyiv warns of potential halt to Russian gas transit through Ukraine in 2022.

Ukraine has warned that gas flows from Russia through its territory to Europe could stop next year if Moscow and Kyiv fail to reach a new transit agreement. The current deal expires at the end of 2019, and negotiations have been complicated by political tensions between the two countries. The EU relies on Russia for around 40% of its gas imports, around half of which flows through Ukraine.
