Zelensky Warns of Impending Russian Offensive and Appeals for Aid
TL;DR
Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that 5-7 US-made Patriot air defense systems would protect industrial platforms in Ukraine and keep cities safe, emphasizing the need for these systems to counter Russian attacks. Zelensky also highlighted the importance of weakening Putin domestically and diverting Russian resources. While Ukraine has not received Patriot systems from the US, it has obtained them from other countries. The recent missile attack on Kyiv underscored the urgency of Ukraine's air defense needs, with concerns raised about potential ammunition shortages for the Patriot systems.
