China Calls for International Law Compliance and Protection of Gaza Civilians

China has called on Israel to adhere to international humanitarian law and protect the safety of Palestinian civilians in its conflict with Hamas. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of peace talks between the two sides and expressed support for resolutions that promote peace and reconciliation. China also proposed the convening of an international peace summit to resume peace talks and formulate a roadmap for peace between Palestine and Israel. Wang's calls come ahead of his upcoming meetings with U.S. officials in Washington.
