Global Powers Impose Sanctions to Undermine Russian Conflict

The United States has imposed sanctions on individuals and companies in Turkey, China, and the United Arab Emirates, accusing them of aiding Russia's war against Ukraine and disrupting Moscow's supply chains. The U.S. Treasury Department stated that Russia has been relying on suppliers in other countries to acquire technology, equipment, and other goods for its military. The sanctions target entities involved in sending Russia dual-use goods and those involved in Russian illicit finance. The U.S. State Department is also issuing sanctions on areas such as Russia's energy production, metals and mining sector, and defense procurement. The Commerce Department has blacklisted entities supporting Russia's military through the procurement, development, and proliferation of Russian drones.
