Qatar, which has been a mediator in ceasefire efforts, announced a pause in its mediation role but denied expelling Hamas leaders. Despite this, the U.S. continues to seek a Gaza ceasefire. Turkey, which supports Hamas, has previously hosted meetings with its leaders.
