Iran Warns of Inevitable Expansion in Israel-Hamas War

Iran's foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, has warned that an expansion of the Israel-Hamas war has become inevitable as military activity escalates in the Gaza Strip. Israel continues to bombard Hamas in Gaza, with the Israel Defense Forces reporting the killing of Hamas terrorists, including two commanders involved in an attack on Israel. The conflict has also seen attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria, likely backed by Iran. In response, the US conducted an airstrike against an Iranian weapons facility in Syria. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei previously called for countries to block the flow of food and oil to Israel, but this plea seems to have been ignored.
