"Israel Considers Prisoner-Hostage Exchange Proposal in Gaza Truce Talks"
TL;DR
Israel has reportedly agreed to a US "bridging proposal" regarding the exchange of Palestinian prisoners for hostages held by Hamas, with CIA Director Bill Burns facilitating the agreement. Both delegations are awaiting Hamas' response, although outstanding issues such as aid entry and Israeli military repositioning in Gaza remain. The exact number of prisoners to be released is still unclear, but the agreement is expected to occur in multiple phases, with the initial stage focusing on the release of women, elderly, sick, and wounded hostages.
