Jordanian Ambassador Urges Cease-fire as Sole Solution to Israel-Hamas Conflict

Jordan's ambassador to the U.S., Dina Kawar, has called for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war, stating that it is the only way to stop the conflict and prevent the fueling of radicalism. Kawar expressed concern over the displacement of civilians in Gaza and questioned the strategy behind it. Jordan's King Abdullah has also criticized the Israeli offensive and called for an immediate cease-fire. U.S. officials believe a temporary cease-fire for humanitarian aid would empower Hamas, while Israel has vowed to destroy the group. Jordan is urging a return to negotiations.
