Putin dismisses claims of U.S. waging war on Russia and China

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed suggestions of a U.S. war against Russia and China as nonsense, stating that such thoughts were unhealthy and not serious. He emphasized that Russia desires peace but warned that if a war were to occur, it would be on a completely different level than the conflict in Ukraine. Putin also highlighted the deepening partnership between China and Russia, which the West views with anxiety. The United States sees China as its biggest competitor and Russia as its biggest nation-state threat. Both countries are said to be modernizing their nuclear weapons arsenals.
