Russia seeks to replenish attack drone stockpile with Iranian aid, says White House.

Russia is seeking to purchase more advanced attack drones from Iran for use in its war against Ukraine after using up most of the 400 drones it had previously purchased from Tehran, according to the White House. The Shahed drones that Russia has already purchased are packed with explosives and programed to loiter overhead until they nosedive into a target. The Biden administration is looking to further tighten export controls to prevent Western components from making their way to Iran for use in manufacturing drones. Meanwhile, the UK is sending Ukraine hundreds more air defense missiles and long-range attack drones.
