Russian jet intercepts NATO patrols by France and Germany.

Russia scrambled a fighter jet after detecting French and German patrol aircraft flying towards Russian airspace. France and Germany said their planes were conducting regular flights as part of a NATO exercise and behaved in accordance with international law. The Russian jet returned to base after the French and German ones turned away from Russia.
