"US Imposes Sanctions on Iraqi Airline, Hamas Financiers, and Iran Supporters"

The U.S. imposed sanctions on Iraqi airline Fly Baghdad and its CEO for allegedly assisting Iran's military wing, as well as on Hamas for abusing cryptocurrency since the attack on Israel. The sanctions come amid Israel's bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip and Iranian-backed militias in Iraq launching regular strikes against bases housing U.S. forces. The Treasury Department also designated leaders and supporters of an Iran-aligned militia in Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah, and a network of Hamas-affiliated financial exchanges in Gaza, including financial facilitators that transferred funds through cryptocurrency from Iran to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza.
