However, the draft resolution still includes strong language that applies directly to Iran, such as calls to suppress financing of Hamas and prevent the export of arms to Hamas. Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Iran during his speech to the Security Council, stating that the U.S. will defend its people and security if Iran or its proxies attack U.S. personnel.
