Hezbollah's Involvement in Israel-Hamas War Raises Concerns

Hezbollah's deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Kassem, stated that his group is already "in the heart of the battle" between Israel and Hamas, and warned that Israel will pay a high price if it launches a ground offensive in Gaza. Hezbollah has been firing rockets and missiles towards Israel, while Israel has conducted shelling and drone strikes in southern Lebanon. Kassem emphasized that Hezbollah's aim is to weaken Israel and demonstrate their readiness to join the fighting if Israel invades Gaza. There are concerns that Hezbollah, with its large arsenal of weapons, might open a new front in the conflict by launching a major attack on northern Israel.
