"India-Russia Relations Strengthen Amid Diplomatic Strains and Joint Defense Initiatives"
TL;DR
Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. S. Jaishankar's visit to Russia, which included a meeting with President Putin, has sparked criticism from former US ambassador Michael McFaul, who lamented India's engagement with 'imperial Russia.' McFaul's comments on the prioritization of money over values were met with backlash from Indian netizens and geopolitical experts, who defended India's actions as a pursuit of national interests, similar to the United States' own foreign policy practices. The debate highlights the complexities of international relations and the balancing act between moral values and strategic interests.
