Argentina Joins International Space Exploration Agreement with Artemis Accords

Argentina has become the 28th country and the fifth in the last three months to sign the U.S.-led Artemis Accords, which outline best practices for space exploration. The Accords, rolled out in 2020, build upon existing agreements and extend to topics such as scientific data exchange and space resource utilization. While signing the Accords does not guarantee participation in the NASA-led Artemis lunar exploration campaign, it signifies a commitment to operating in an open and transparent manner. Additionally, the United States and Italy have announced plans to enhance their cooperation in space, including the creation of a "new space dialogue" to promote industrial cooperation and the development of commercial space stations.
